Ipad

The ipad is better for the environment as well as the classroom, not only will it eventually be the main teaching tool used in schools but it take out the text book completely being able to put the entire text book on a ipad. I personally will never own one they do not appeal to me i like reading of paper not off a computer screen but i think if they are started with young kids in school kids will be able to read it easier as they grow. the thing that does concern me though is what about kids actually writing papers and taking notes with a pencil, everything is turning into typing and copying with electronics that is my biggest concern, will the kids of the future know how to write, or will they just be fantastic typer's. news papers magazines and books will be found in the future only on the ipad, saving trees and paper to a point where they will be almost obsolete. Im not sure the type of effect it will have on business, but i think its biggest impact will be in the schools and on the environment. For people using the ipad now for social aspects almost as a laptop is a good start but i dont think we'll see the real power of this product for a couple more years when it becomes a little easier to afford and schools have the desire to fill up classrooms with ipads instead of computers until kids are required to have one for most high end schools and colleges. i know my brother who is 8 only wants one for the games thats all he talks about but the ipad is ment for more than just games, ibooks is the first big thing i see jumping off the ipad as far as app wise. being able to take all your text books in electronic form and be able to adjust the size, and font for easier viewing is amazing instead of lugging around 7 different books for a semester all that is needed is one ipad granted the book is available on an ipad. next thing is documents being able to signed on the ipad, it hasnt come get but im pretty sure its in the makings, once you are able to write electronicly on an ipad paper will be completely out sourced. there will be no need for any paper which is a great thing for the trees. it will put a lot of people in the paper business and logging industrys out of business but it is a huge step in going green. as far as the ipad goes i think its a great tool but we wont see its full potential for a couple more years.
